Itinerary
Day 1 — Jaco
A warm and sunny welcome to Costa Rica! Your flight arrives at Juan Santamaría International Airport. After passing through immigration and customs, you will meet one of our local representatives and begin your journey to Jaco Beach.
Day 2 — Jaco
Today you will depart on the absolutely best Catamaran tour in Costa Rica. Departing from Los Suenos headed for the secluded white sand beach, Playa Fantasia. Enjoy a sailing catamaran, great sunset, open bar, and a professional chef prepared BBQ on the beach.
Day 3 — Jaco
Today experience a different side of Jaco, atving high in the mountains crossing rivers and stopping at waterfalls (depending on the season). Continue on to soaring high within the forests on the best zip line canopy tour in Jaco.
Day 4 — Arenal
Today you will be transferred from Jaco to Arenal. Arenal is famous for the incredible hot springs and the Arenal Volcano.
Day 5 — Arenal
Today enjoy a hike guided by our professional eco guide through 1.9 km to the beautiful Arenal Waterfall. After a refreshing swim hike back for lunch. We finish our day at the Tabacon Hot springs where you will be able to relax and rejuvenate in mineral rich water flowing straight from the veins of the Volcano. Enjoy a typical dinner at Tabacon.
Day 6 — Arenal
Enjoy a free day in Arenal to discover the small shops and local souvenir shopping. Take part in several additional optional tours.
Day 7 — Monteverde
Departing early morning for a beautiful drive through the cloud forests to Monteverde. Monteverde is a town in mountainous northwestern Costa Rica. Monteverde is famous for its biodiverse forests within the clouds. The main attraction The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve shelters countless wildlife species, including jaguars, ocelots and the colorfully plumed resplendent quetzal. The reserve’s marked trails cut through ferns and orchids, and way overhead, suspended bridges allow walks above the forest canopy.
Day 8 — Monteverde
Today enjoy a guided tour exploring the beauty of one of the rarest forests in the world, the cloud forest. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve was established in 1972 and initially covered some 810 acres (328 ha) of forested land. The Monteverde Cloud Forest reserve currently protects over 35,089 acres (14,200 ha) and encompasses eight life zones atop the Continental Divide. There are over 100 species of mammals, 400 species of birds, and 1,200 species of amphibians and reptiles living within its bounds. It’s one of the few remaining habitats that support all six species of the cat family – jaguars, ocelots, pumas, oncillas, margays, and jaguarundis – as well as the endangered three-wattled bellbird and resplendent quetzal. Over 8 miles (13 km) of trails are available for you to explore with your professional guide, your guide will provide education of the different wild life and flora and fauna along your journey.
Day 9 — San Jose
Departing after breakfast for the Airport in San Jose.
