Costa Rica is a destination admired for the wealth of several species of fish. Just 90 minutes from San Jose is one of the most luxurious Marinas in Central America, Los Suenos. In this Marina we currently have 25 incredible fishing boats ranging from 26 feet to 65 feet. Costa Rica has some of the best Captain and Mate crews, with their experience and local knowledge, they know where the fish are.
Recently Los Suenos Marina broke the world record of most billfish caught in one boats tournament with a massive 2170 billfish more than 700 billfish than the previous record.
Aside from the massive Billfish Fishing in Costa Rice we also are known for our dorado (Mahi-Mahi), tuna, wahoo, grouper, amber jack, snapper, rooster fish, sea bass, the best tasting snook and many more species. Depending on the time of year, billfish such as marlin and sailfish can be seen "rising" on the baits. With luck they will "strike" the bait.
