Itinerary
Day 1 — Arenal
A warm and sunny welcome to Costa Rica! Your flight arrives at Juan Santamaría International Airport. After passing through immigration and customs, you will meet one of our local representatives and begin your journey to Arenal.
Day 2 — Arenal
Arenal is located in the town of La Fortuna, home to possibly the most notorious volcano in Costa Rica. Arenal Volcano was the most active volcano in Costa Rica up until 2010, perfectly coned shaped, a view you will never forget.
Begin the day bright and early as we depart for the Cano Negro boat tour. This tour departs only 4 km from the border of Nicaragua (about a 1.5-hour ride from Arenal, make sure to bring your passports!). The Cano Negro is a river that acts as a wintering site for migrant American bird species. Some species stay all year including Black Bellied Whistling Duck, Black-necked Stilt, Anhinga, Snail kite and the Green Backed Heron. An area of enormous biodiversity and richness. This is the perfect tour for bird watchers and nature lovers.
Upon arrival at Los Chiles, you will board a boat and begin the 4-hour floating tour of rainforests, pastures and marshland.
Day 3 — Monteverde
Travelling North today you will be journeying to experience the rarest ecosystem in the world. The Cloud Forests of Monteverde, an area where humidity no longer exists and a cool breeze floats in. Enjoy your trip to the most fascinating wildlife sanctuaries in Costa Rica.
Day 4 — Monteverde
Today we will be exploring the cloud forests guide by our eco-guides. Start on the walkways which is a combination of trails and seven bridges where you will have the opportunity to explore all levels of the cloud forest. Admire the boundless diversity of the flora and fauna.
Day 5 — Manuel Antonio
After breakfast, we will be travelling to Manuel Antonio, one of the original favorite tourist spots in Costa Rica. Manuel Antonio is home to one of the most beautiful National Parks in Costa Rica, also home to several beaches where rain forest flows into the ocean, with crystal clear water and white sand beaches.
Day 6 — Manuel Antonio
Start your day with an expert guide pointing out the wonders of Manuel Antonio National Park. Here you will spot white faced Capuchin monkey, red back squirrel monkey and howler monkeys, sloths, coatis, and agoutis. The relaxed walk through the park lasts around 2.5-3 hours. As well as spotting the large number of wildlife, you will also learn about the history of this stunning part of Costa Rica.
Day 7 — Manuel Antonio
Enjoy your last day in Costa Rica by relaxing on the beaches or joining us on one of our many exciting tours in Manuel Antonio.
Day 8 — San Jose
We wish you a safe and pleasant journey home, we hope you experienced a little Pura Vida on your vacation and hope to see you again soon!
